Kaleidoscope - Storytelling Project
Part of the East Storytelling Project, which has been running for over ten years, participants will be given step-by-step exercises on different elements of storytelling in a welcoming and supportive space.
Responding to the theme of kindness, we will guide you step by step through how to tell a great story, from finding the perfect hook to bringing moments vividly to life. At the end of the session, we’ll gather together to share our stories with each other.
Storytelling isn’t acting. You don’t need to write anything or memorise lines. It’s something we all do naturally when sharing experiences with friends. In this session, you’ll learn how to shape everyday moments into stories that connect with people.
Your story can be big or small. It could be about a moment that changed your life, a person who shaped who you are, or an experience that helped you understand yourself better.
At previous events, people have shared stories about:
- Receiving an autism diagnosis and how it helped them understand their identity
- How one small act of kindness transformed their confidence and self-expression
- Lessons from family members about standing up for people’s rights
Come listen, connect, and share your story.
This workshop is for young people aged 16-25 years old. Any questions or access requirements please email tasnimproduces@gmail.com
Presented by Daedalus Theatre Company, Havering Changing and Kaleidoscope. Supported by Arts Council England.
